Bible Passage: James 2:14-22; Galatians 5:22-23
Preacher: Lois Taviner
Series: Helping Our Community
James 2:14-22; Galatians 5:22-23
If there’s one word I’d use to describe myself it’s inconsistent. My mood, my dislikes, my interests, my priorities, my hobbies – they all change from one thing to another and back again, over and over. Unlike me, Jesus is unchanging. He is steadfast. He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
It’s this constant, consistent steadfastness that sets the greatest example of what faithfulness looks like for us.
Faithfulness begins with faith: hope and trust in a never-changing, always faithful God. (Hebrews 11:1) Our faithfulness to Him is the evidence of our faith. James 2:14-22 describes it is Faith & Action working together. That is faithfulness.
What action is God calling you to do, to activate your faith?
