Step Out!

Life is full of big and small decisions, but one of the best decisions we can make is to be obedient to the call of Jesus. 

Peter was called to come to Jesus on the water and although it would appear that he failed as he started to sink, who else other than Jesus can say that they have walked on water? 

Peter had the guts to be obedient, Peter had the courage to leave the safety of the boat, Peter trusted Jesus enough to obey his words. 

What words is Jesus saying to us today? is there something that we are holding onto because it’s familiar and safe? 

Questions: 

1. How would we have responded to Jesus’ call to “come”? 

2. What things can stop us from following the call of God? 

3. What is our response when things don’t go as we think they should? 

4. How can we hear the call of God?
