Alpha FAQs
1. What does Alpha look like?
The group watch a 20 minute video and then discuss the content. People can ask questions and share life stories as much or as little as they want to. No questions are off limits.
2. I’m not a Christian or a member of the church – I’m not sure I even believe in God. Can I join?
Yes! Alpha is definitely for people who would say they aren’t yet Christians. And if you don’t like it after a week or two, you can simply stop attending. No one will be offended, no one will chase you up. You’re free to come and go as you feel.
3. Can I invite people who aren’t yet Christians to Alpha?
Absolutely! Alpha is all about exploring what faith is, and who God is, so it’s a great introduction for anyone interesting in finding out more about Christianity.
4. When is the Alpha course?
Alpha usually runs on Monday nights at 7:30pm from the church building. Courses run in January and September. If you can’t make it to our next Alpha course, there are other course running in the local area; you can find an Alpha near you by clicking here.
5. I’ve done Alpha before, can I do it again?
Many people who have done Alpha before say that they learn something new every time. So it’s absolutely worth doing it more than once. And remember, Alpha is really all about reaching new people. So if you’re familiar with the course, you’re in a great place to invite your friends/family/neighbours.
