Bible Passage: John 13:34-35
Preacher: Sean Smith
Series: How Are You Feeling?
John 13:34-35
The Church can be an amazing thing to be part of, it can pick you up when you are down, support you in times of trouble and also be a source of love and inspiration.
Sadly however, sometimes it can also be hurtful, difficult, frustrating and lonely place to be.
The church cannot exist without people but often they are the reason people leave the church.
God is for the church and as disciples of Jesus we should be too.
In the book Outcry book by Ryan Romeo there is a quote in there that says “The church is full of IMPERFECT people working out the PERFECT gospel”
Do we allow others to make mistakes without repercussions? Do we extend forgiveness as much as we like to be forgiven? Do we get involved? Do we welcome others?
In John 13:34-35 Jesus talks about how his Disciples should love one another, he says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
If people were to walk into church and look at how we love one another, would that be attractive and cause them to want to be part of it?
