Discouraged (Part 2)

Isn’t it discouraging when we pray, believe, pray some more – and God doesn’t answer how we wanted him to? The story of Lazarus being raised to life in John 11:1-44 shows us that: 

1. Gods silence doesn’t mean an absence of love for you!  

“Jesus loved Mary, Martha & Lazarus… yet he stayed where he was for 2 days” (John 11:5) 

2. Your pain causes God no pleasure 

“When Jesus saw Mary crying and the Jews who came with her also crying, he was upset and was deeply troubled.(John 11:33)” 

3. God’s timing is perfect (often frustrating, but always perfect) 

“he stayed where he was for two more days. Then Jesus said to his followers, “Let’s go back to Judea.” (John 11:6-7) 

If God made you a promise, he hasn’t forgotten it. All his plans come together in His perfect timing.  

Keep praying, keep waiting, Keep believing. He is the God who can & will.
