Newbies Course

Our Newbies Course is for anyone who has joined FCC in the last 12 months and would like to join a Community Group in the future.

The Newbies Course is a three-week course offered three times annually and serves as a launching point for you to successfully join a Community Group.

Our next course will run on the following Sunday’s, 12:45 – 1:45pm

Sunday 26th October, 9th November, 23rd November.

If you are unable to commit to at least 2 of the 3 sessions, we ask that you wait until the next course runs.

Newbies Course FAQs

What will be covered in each session?

Session 1 | Welcome & Introductions

Enjoy a relaxed, informal time over a shared meal. We’ll spend the session getting to know each other.

Session 2 | Our Story & Vision | 9th November 2025

Learn why FCC exists. We’ll cover our mission and vision, and share the story of our church—how we got started and where we are heading.

Session 3 | Getting involved at FCC | 23rd November 2025

Discover more about the four ways you can join in at FCC: Gather / Belong / Volunteer / Donate

By the end of the course, you’ll know exactly how to plug in and grow with our community.

Is lunch provided?

Yes! We believe that sharing a meal is at the heart of building community, so we’ll enjoy a meal together at each session. If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know by email at least three days before the course begins so we can make suitable arrangements.

I can’t make all three sessions, does that matter?

We get it—life is busy! Our Newbies course is most meaningful when you can join all three sessions, because each builds on the last. If you know you won’t be able to make the sessions, we’d encourage you to sign up for the next run so you can fully benefit and connect with the group.

When will future courses run?

Our Newbies Courses run February/March, June/July and October/November.

Is childcare provided?

We know family life is a juggle! The Newbies Course is designed for adults (16+), unfortunately we aren’t able to provide childcare. You’re more than welcome to bring your little ones along and keep them with you during the sessions.
